Alex Kijurina, Business Development Manager, PowerhouseLogistics
Alex has over 35 years working in all facets of International Freight.
Initially commenced with Ansett Airlines gaining experience working in various roles in Customs clearance, International Ground handling and State Sales Manager before taking on a national role to assist in the start up of Ansett International Freight. After Ansett he worked in his own business for 3 years before selling to TNT and taking up another national role with Comet International where he set up the organizational structure for Comet Road transports International Division. He subsequently went out again to run his own business in Australia and eventually Canada for 17 years. He now works with Powerhouse Logistics based in Sydney.
Alycia Elliott, National Inside Sales Manager, Mearsk Line
Alycia Elliott is the National Inside Sales Manager for Maersk Line in
Australia and one of the industry's recognised young female talents.
Following a Bachelor of Business Administration where she majored in
International Business and specialised in Mandarin Chinese, Alycia
started her international trade career with Maersk Line in Australia
where she joined the Maersk International Shipping Education program and
gained experience in various facets of the industry before going on to
complete the Maersk Line Graduate Acceleration Program. Alycia is
experienced in both the container shipping and logistics sectors of the
industry and last year returned from a 2 year expatriation as Deputy
Manager for Customer Service in the Shanghai branch of Maersk Logistics
to head the cutting edge Inside Sales Team at Maersk Line based in
Sydney.
